Highways Verge Works North of A171 Creation of Bridleway Crossing with Holding Area as detailed in DMRB Vol. 6, S3, part 5, sect. 9 Lined with geotextile and surfaced with 150mm compacted type 1 aggregate and finished with a compacted 25mm layer of 6mm- dust. Install drainage provision to prevent surface water discharging onto the highway Extension of tarmac area and extension of dropped kerb from field access to crossing area (approx. 4m x 1m) Crossing to be constructed in accordance with Standard Detail B4 and E6W Existing highway drainage grip relocated downhill of the proposed crossing Surface levelling along bridleway route, relocation of stone mound South of A171 Creation of Bridleway Crossing with Holding Area as detailed in DMRB Vol. 6, S3, part 5, sect. 9 Lined with geotextile and surfaced with 150mm compacted type 1 aggregate and finished with a compacted 25mm layer of 6mm-dust. Provision to prevent surface water discharging onto the highway Installation of 5m of dropped kerb to the highway surface Crossing to be constructed in accordance with Standard Detail B4 and E6W Ancillary Works Fencing Erection of approximately 150m additional stock fence (15cm x 15cm uprights centred at 1.5m) as shown on plan 2 Gates Installation of 1 no. 5'6ft bridle gate and 2 no. 12ft field gate and side rails to leave stock proof at location shown on plan 2 Road Surfacing Installation of a 10m wide band of high friction surfacing to HD37 (DMRB 7.5.2) the width of the carriageway (similar colour to the carriageway) Signage Erection of 2 no. triangular warning signs to be erected to warn drivers eastbound and westbound of the crossing point to DMRB Volume 8 Section 2 Part 2 (TD 26/17) Dry Stone Wall Dismantle and rebuild approximately 10 m of Dry Stone Wall plus supply stone for and construct an additional 10m of stone wall in accordance with plan 2 Spoil Management Excess spoil to be relocated to Skelder top car park and used to re-profile existing bunds
