17/PROF/02 Provision of Telephone and Data Transmission Services (Moves, Adds and Changes)

Tender description

The University is seeking to engage a specialist Contractor for the provision of goods and services related to telephone and data installations. This can include services, which are labour only, provision of goods or a combination of both. There is also, on occasion, a requirement for professional services such as project management and design/planning. The scope of the contract includes, but is not limited to: ? Installation of telephone points; ? Work(s) to re-jumper an existing service; ? Work(s) to test and terminate a ready wired circuit; ? Work(s) to fit telephone to wall; ? Fault investigation of telephone line plants; ? Work(s) to re-patch an existing service; ? Installation of Emergency Voice Communication help points; ? Installation of data points for IP telephone; ? Installation of data points; ? Testing and terminating ready wired circuit; ? Supply and installation of new patch panel for rack; ? Installation of new switches; ? Network switch swap out; ? Supply and installation of cabinets; ? Wi-Fi design; ? Wi-Fi installations; ? Wireless access point replacement; ? Updating of the Caplum database (the Network Infrastructure Management Tool); ? Works to install containment on the route back from the office to the data rack; ? Works to install, terminate and test an optical fibre cable; and ? Fibre optic cabling repairs.
