Post and courier services

Tender description

NIE Networks is the electricity Distribution Network Operator (DNO) &transmission network owner in Northern Ireland. NIE Networks have a requirement for provision of postal & courier services,at present we use a mixture of stamps, franking & collections services,current spend is approx 130 000 GBP p/annum. NIE Networks would like to invite interested parties to attend separate market engagement sessions relating to the provision of postal & courier services. The objective is to understand what service provision exist in the market & consider various technical & commercial options that are available. The information obtained through this process will be retained by NIE Networks & will not be released to ensure confidentiality. The information will be used to add to the procurement strategy surrounding the procurement of the service. NIE Networks plan to hold separate sessions on 22nd, 23rd & 25th.5.2018; please note NIE Networks cannot guarantee an invitation to a session & subject to availability. NIE Networks have a requirement for the provision of postal & courier services & will issue a full tender exercise for this requirement at a later date. The procurement of the provision of postal & courier services will be launched under a separate process. Please note a separate call for competition in form of OJEU contract notice will not be published, instead an open opportunity will be published on eSourcingNI. Any interested parties will still be required to apply separately when launched & expressing an interest in the market engagement shall in no way be accepted as registering an interest. Additionally, expressing an interest in the market engagement will not be a prerequisite in relation to the future tender competition. Please note this is not a call for competition & no tender documents are available at this stage.
