Tender description

The University wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to enable the realisation of higher returns on investments. The University has built multiple millions of surplus cash (70m GBP) on its balance sheet which it currently deposits in vehicles (bank deposits and short term money market accounts). It is anticipated that the investment portfolio will be from 10m GBP up to 40m GBP. As a result, interest and capital returns are nominal and out of step with the charitable investment environment which has a significantly higher appetite for risk. Currently the university does not have appropriate infrastructure to leverage risk appropriate returns. The investment advisors will form part of a new infrastructure.
