SOG-T-ESS-Edward T Wheadon House Lift Shaft Extension and Toilet Refurbishment

Edward T Wheadon House currently has two lifts which are due for replacement. The Staff lift serves Basement to level 3 and the Public Lift Ground to Level 4. The building will be occupied throughout the works and one lift will need to be in operation at all times. As a result of the lift replacement programme the Employment & Social Security Committee wish to increase the provision of wheel chair accessible toilets in the building. This leads to refurbishment of toilets on the Truchot level and levels 3 and 4. Therefore timing of the different phases and co-ordination with the building users and main contractor will be required to ensure that phases are completed on time and so enabling the next phase of works.
