Tender description

HealthTrust Europe (HTE) is seeking to establish a framework agreement for Pathology Transport and Logistics Services. It is envisaged that the transport services may include, but not limited to, the movement of specimens, chemicals and consumables, as required by the Participating Authorities. It is envisaged the framework will be split into 3 lots: Lot 1: Pathology Courier Services. Lot 2: Pathology Transport IT and Associated Equipment. Lot 3: Mini Competition for Pathology Transport and Logistics. To assist in the strategic direction and development of the framework, HealthTrust Europe (HTE) are seeking supplier engagement. Please send your expression of interest to pathology@htepg.com the deadline for expressions of interest for the supplier engagement will be 27.4.2018. The supplier engagement will take the form of supplier meetings between 20.4.2018 and 11.5.2018. It is anticipated Lot 1 (Pathology Courier Services) will include the provision of courier and transport services for pathology samples, reagents and consumables, as a minimum. It is envisaged the Tenderers awarded to this Lot will be able to provide services which meet ISO 15189 requirements for transport of biological samples (category A and B). The Lot will be multi-source, with the ability to direct award by Participating Authorities. It is anticipated Lot 2 (Pathology Transport IT and Associated Equipment) will include the provision of IT and equipment to support transport of pathology samples, such as tracking samples between collection and delivery sites. It is envisaged the Tenderers awarded to this Lot will be able to provide services which meet ISO 15189 requirements for transport of biological samples (category A and B). The Lot will be multi-source, with the ability to direct award by Participating Authorities. It is anticipated Tenderers successfully awarded to Lots 1 and 2 will be automatically awarded onto Lot 3 (Mini Competition for Pathology Transport and Logistics), unless they indicated a preference not to. Lot 3 (Mini Competition for Pathology Transport and Logistics) will allow Participating Authorities to both run a mini competition for an individual authority for services and equipment as detailed within Lots 1 and 2, as well as aggregate spend between a number of Authorities in line with HealthTrust Europe's GPO model.
