Tender description

Efficiency East Midlands Limited (EEM) is a procurement consortia which establishes and manages a range of framework agreements. Our members include Social Housing Providers, Local Authorities, Universities, NHS Trusts and regional Police Forces. EEM wishes to procure and enter into a framework agreement with multiple contractors, for the provision of Damp Proofing and Related Services. Due to the geographical spread of our members eligible to use the established framework it likely that the works will be split into core regional geographical lot, the final split is yet to be decided however a full description of the Lotting strategy will be available in the Contract Notice and tender documentation. EEM is conducting this tender exercise on behalf of its Contracting Authorities to establish a framework agreement for damp proofing, timber treatments, wall stabilisation and minor structural works on their portfolio of domestic and commercial properties. The works will be on an “as and when required” basis and will include but not be limited to damp proofing works, wall stabilisation, woodworm, wet / dry rot and surveys, reports, plans and professional advice relating to all works covered by the framework agreement. For the duration of the framework, the Contractor will be expected to carry out the following: — Destructive tests to ascertain actual damp levels in the fabric of the walls where doubts are raised, — Injection of liquid DPC’s, — Repair works to damp damaged finishes and fittings, — Repair and remediation works to joists and other timbers, — Treatment works, — Tanking works. — Possible removal and re-fixing of kitchen units and other fittings and fixtures including plumbing and electrical elements. The Framework is being procured by Efficiency East Midlands Limited (“EEM”) on behalf of their members and the other organisations described as being Authorised Users.
