Tender description

The Medical Research Council will shortly be embarking on a full tender process to appoint a principal contractor for the construction of a new building on the London Institute of Medical Sciences, Hammersmith Campus. Ahead of commencing this exercise, we would like to raise awareness for this project by way of an industry day where we will introduce our proposed design philosophy and identify the issues around logistics / milestones. Our hope is that is engaging with industry experts, that we can ensure that this requirement is well placed when it hits the market in the near future. The Medical Research Council will shortly be embarking on a full tender process to appoint a principal contractor for the construction of a new building on the London Institute of Medical Sciences, Hammersmith Campus. At this stage the expected value of the Construction element of this project will be circa 50 000 000 GBP. Ahead of commencing this exercise, we would like to raise awareness for this project by way of an industry day where we will introduce our proposed design philosophy and identify the issues around logistics / milestones. Our hope is that is engaging with industry experts, that we can ensure that this requirement is well placed when it hits the market in the near future. The Industry Day will take place on Thursday 19.4.2018 at 14:00 at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences, Hammersmith Campus, Du Cane Road. If you are interested in attending this Industry Day please confirm your attendance by emailing FMprocurement@uksbs.co.uk stating your organisation and attendees names. All requests to attend must be received by 17:00 on Friday 13.4.2018. Due to the location of the the Industry Day numbers will be limited, therefore we request that attendance is restricted to key members of your organisation that would have a keen interest in this project. It is estimated that the tendering process for this requirement will begin in mid May 2018.
