Tender description

Highways England (HE) is placing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the supply and lay of specialist road surface treatments. This will allow for a collaborative approach with the supply chain who can provide access to new products and services, in order to help extend the life of the road surface, support and enable the delivery of HE's programme of capital and operational schemes from spring 2018 to 2022. HE is continuing to research and review production of new specifications and standards for a series of specialist surface treatments. This notice is to place a DPS for 4 years for the following Lots: Cold Applied Ultra-Thin Surface (CAUTS) and Asphalt preservation. This expression of interest is to gauge the interest of potential suppliers of the aforementioned treatments in joining the supplier list for the DPS. The objective is to have placed a national arrangement that will aid Highways England in placing an interim measure that will extend the service life of pavements. This Lot is for the supply and lay of Preservatives: The objective is to have place a national arrangement that will aid Highways England in placing an interim measure that will extend the service life of pavements. HE are looking to a solution that can be applied to the existing road surface to extend life of the pavement keeping it in its existing condition for longer, and are looking for a supply chain that can provide Asphalt Preservation.
