Tender description

The Authority is seeking an established supplier of high quality Personal Flotation Devices (Life Jackets) and fully compatible Personal Locator Beacons,which can be integrated or attachable. This Contract is subject to grant award from EMFF. This requirement arises from an innovative project which is intended to address necessary behavioural change amongst the fishermen by providing them with better engineered life-saving equipment. The Locator Beacons offer the additional benefit of assisting the RNLI, SAR and emergency services in the rapid location of fishermen and vessels in distress that will reduce costs and reduce the risk to the lives of the rescue services. The Authority anticipates ordering 200 Life Jackets and 200 compatible Personal Locator Beacons from a single supplier subject to grant funding, but these amounts are not guaranteed and may be varied according to funding and need.
