Tender description

Framework agreement for a range of special-purpose road passenger-transport services, including home to school transport of pupils; transport of pupils with additional support needs (ASN); transport of vulnerable service users for access to health and social care (HSC) services; and unescorted passenger journeys between points within the City of Edinburgh Council local authority area. Provision of passenger transport between points within the City of Edinburgh Council local authority area, using a telephone or electronic booking system with taxis and / or private licensed cars. No specialised care, equipment or specialised vehicles required. This lot will mainly comprise of requirements for home to school transport fixed routes and ad hoc requirements from time to time on a temporary basis, for example for the purpose of accessing education-related extra-curricular activities. Specialised vehicles (e.g. wheelchair accessible), escorts and/or special equipment may be required. This lot will mainly comprise of requirements for home to school transport fixed routes, as well as a number of health and social care (HSC) routes and ad hoc requirements from time to time on a temporary basis, for example for the purpose of accessing education-related extra-curricular activities, day centres or a health service.
