Who Speclialist Work With An internal Careers Wales team will support the development of the new website. This will include key internal resources, e.g. Product Development Management, Enterprise Architecture, Technical Project Management, Software Testing, Network Administration etc. In addition, there will be a third party systems Integrator and a third party digital design agency. What Specialists Work On 1. Work with a third party systems integrator, a third party digital design agency, an internal enterprise architect/ technical team to implement the target architecture as defined and owned by Careers Wales. 2. Technical integration of the User Interface (UI) and business logic developed by two separate third party suppliers. 3. Establish DevOps practices using the latest tools and technologies. 4. Responsible for automated software deployment to all Cloud environments. 5. Responsible for automated monitoring of software deployed to Cloud environments. 6. Responsible for the ongoing (frequent) release of code into production. 7. Work in an agile development environment. Where the Work Takes Place Cardiff (Wales)/ Some work can be conducted remotely. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Expected to follow agile development methods. Specific process to be agreed, however is expected to be Kanban. Specialist required to be onsite as needed/ some work can be conducted remotely, however a high degree of engagement is required with Careers Wales. Work Location Cardiff (Wales)/ Some work can be conducted remotely. Security Clearance BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standards) BPSS are not formal security clearances; they are a package of pre-employment checks that represent good recruitment and employment practice. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Demonstrate experience and working knowledge of Cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure. Demonstrate experience of working within an agile SDLC. Demonstrate experience of developing a micro-services infrastructure, including the usage of common tools for containerisation and orchestration of containers. Demonstrate experience of setting up automated deployments of software to Cloud environments. Demonstrate experience of developing continuous delivery pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment to Cloud environments using widely adopted tooling. Demonstrate experience of developing monitoring solutions for Cloud environments to ensure deployed applications are fault tolerant (self healing), highly available and can scale on demand. Demonstrate extensive experience with automation using scripting languages, as well as configuration of infrastructure with code automation. Demonstrate practical knowledge of the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to define infrastructure that can be redeployed easily. Demonstrate experience with version control software, specifically git, and job execution tools. Demonstrate experience of secure coding and testing across a variety of tools and vulnerability management. Nice to Haves Demonstrate experience of working on medium - large size projects with multiple teams in remote locations. Professional Cloud certification, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications. Demonstrate experience of developing solutions for Public Services in Cloud based environments.
