Specification/list of duties: • Providing technical support for the specialised telecoms systems used by MPST, the Enquiry Unit and the Press Office • Management of the main telephony PABX in 1 Victoria Street and day to day Management the Siemens mobility telephony service (issuing numbers, carrying out software changes and running reports to identify redundant services) • Carrying out planned and ad hoc telecoms moves and changes in all BIS locations. • Remote support for Telephony software changes at BIS Glasgow, Watford, Sheffield, Birmingham and Nottingham Sites • Management of the BIS Standalone PABX in 1 Victoria Street • Maintenance and installation of telecoms cabling and telephone handsets across the BIS estate. • Providing onsite technical support for the Simplicity Video Conferencing service • Providing onsite technical support for The Cloud WiFi service • Technical support for the Brent secure telephony/fax service • Maintenance and testing of The Departmental Business Continuity Plan Telephony services. • Installation and support of standalone Broadband services across the BIS estate. • Management of the Tiger Call Logging system • Carrying out site surveys for new telecoms and network services • Managing requirements for Audio Conferencing accounts and equipment”
