Services to be provided As part of their portfolio of services offered to SMEs to help them innovate and grow their business in Europe, the Enterprise Europe Network delivers a Tenders Alerting Service. This service alerts companies to relevant contract opportunities advertised in the Official Journal of the EU (OJEU) and other sources by public sector organisations in the UK and the rest of Europe. Tailored search profiles have been developed for each client, so that each receives just those contract opportunities that are appropriate to their business. Searches are carried out daily (or sometimes weekly, if clients prefer) and any relevant contracts are notified to clients by e-mail. Going forward, companies will access this service free of charge. In order to improve further the efficiency and consistent delivery of this service across England, Northern Ireland and Wales, it is proposed to outsource that part of the service which relates to the regular searches of the contract opportunities and delivery of the results to clients. Initial profile development will be carried out by the local Network partner with the SME client. From this point, the contractor would take over the setting up of search profiles and the delivery of the daily / weekly service to the client. The contractor will be required to provide regular reports to the originating Network partners and to work with them to ensure the quality of the service delivered and the measurement of customer satisfaction and impact.
