Drainage works

Tender description

The works will be carried out within the area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and comprise without limitation, a range of highway drainage works, from complete reconstruction of road gully pans and connections to pan replacements and pipe repairs. Work may also include carriageway reinstatement including road markings and anti-skid as required by the Engineer throughout the whole of The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The works comprise a combination of reactive and programmed maintenance works as well as some new installation works. The work includes: (a) Replacement of gully pans and construction of connection to sewer, to be carried out in a heading; (b) Reinstatement of carriageway openings in asphalt, granite setts, paving stones, etc.; (c) Reinstatement of carriageway markings following the carriageway reinstatement works; (d) Clearing of blocked drainage pipes using rods and high pressure jetting; (e) Arranging for parking suspensions and notifying residents and businesses affected by the works. For emergency works, the contractor will be required to mobilise the necessary resources within 2 hours and proceed with the works as instructed.
