Construction, foundation and surface works for highways, roads

Tender description

The Works will be carried out in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and comprise, without limitation, a range of paving works, including York stone, artificial stone paving, granite kerbs and settsand ancillary work such as street furniture, posts and street nameplates. The works comprise a combination of reactive and programmed maintenance works as well as some new installation works. Paving schemes will include complete reconstruction of footways based on an annual programme and minor works associated with building development and trench reinstatements. a) taking up and laying of natural York stone and artificial paving stones, block paviors, granite setts, granite kerbs, etc. as programmed or minor works. Some items, including York stone, will be supplied by the Council for laying by the Contractor; b) footway reinstatement works following building development works and crossovers; c) arranging for parking suspensions and notifying residents and businesses affected by the works. For emergency works, the successful tenderer will be required to mobilise the necessary resources within 2 hours and proceed with the works as instructed.
