Aston University, Business School are looking for a comprehensive piece of software that can be used both for teaching and research that permits users to monitor, analyse and download both historical and real-time market data. Ideally, this would be both financial and economic data, at the firm and country level. In addition, the software should be able to provide a live news stream with multiple language capabilities that may also be fed into an electronic ticker in a bespoke branded room simulating a trading floor. For research, the software should provide rich data with simple download methods with minimal limits across numerous software packages and enable user-built macros to speed up the download process. For teaching, the provider will need to provide at minimum 22 software licenses for student and academic use. Finally, the ability to use the software to network within the software via an online community would be further beneficial for students. The successful provider will be required to provide comprehensive assistance with the software including 24/7 support via telephone or live chat and provider training events for staff and students both on and off campus.
