Tender description

The contract will be based on the Sport England Leisure Operating Contract with amendments to reflect the requirement for refurbishment works to be undertaken at the Stour Centre and Julie Rose Stadium. Through this process Ashford Borough Council has committed to working with Ashford Leisure Trust to develop the leisure offer for Ashford. Ashford Borough Council will consider proposals for investment in the sites which are supported by a business plan and cost benefit analysis. The types of investment envisaged include introduction of enhanced children's activities - eg. soft play, provision of activities to attract increased used by teens eg. clip and climb, adventure play ie. non-traditional leisure activities to aid interaction and participation, refurbishment of gym facilities and refreshment of wet-side activities. This tender is for the management of leisure centres and services on behalf of Ashford Leisure Trust, incorporating the Stour Centre, Spearpoint Recreation Ground and Pavilion, Julie Rose Stadium, Conningbrook Lakes at Conningbrook Country Park plus the Variant Option: Tennis Centre at Julie Rose Stadium and Finberry Community Centre.
