Tender description

The project requires the replacement of existing lift services with new MRL lifts as detailed in Schedule No. 1 of the specification (Appendix A) and summarised below: • Avril Robarts Learning Resource Centre - Replacement of existing 4 floor hydraulic lift with remote lift motor room. Building is a library with 24/7 access therefore works are to be primarily undertaken between 18:00-08:30 within the period 21st May to 31st August 2018. No works will be permitted on site on 16th & 17th August 2018. • Joe H Makin Drama Centre - Replacement of existing 4 floor hydraulic lift. New lift is to be installed to standards of an Evacuation Lift, however there is currently only a single power supply to the building. Building is primarily used for teaching and although operational during the works the contractor shall undertake the works during normal working hours within the period 21st May to 31st August 2018. No works will be permitted on site on 16th & 17th August 2018. • Tithebarn Street - Replacement of 1No. 5 floor and 1No. 6 floor existing electric traction lifts with separate lift motor room. The building will be undergoing full refurbishment commencing June 2018 and it is intended the lift replacement will form part of the main contract works with phasing and site arrangements to be determined. As the works may form part of a larger refurbishment project to be determined, full pre-construction information is not available at this stage.
