Tender description

This is not a call for Competition: Following expiration of this notice the Contracting Authority intends to publish a tender competition to establish a framework agreement for electrical contractors to be requested to tender for Electrical Works' projects on Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, (Trinity’s) city centre Campus, adjacent and satellite properties. Trinity intends to establish the framework panel from suitably qualified Candidates who have submitted the best quality submissions based on the award criteria set out in this SAQ & ITT. Candidates invited to be a framework member will be requested to tender for selected projects ranging in value from 0 EUR to 300 000 EUR for a period of two (2) years with the option to extend for one (1) year and a further one (1) year period. Each project will be the subject of a secondary competition Invitation to Tender. The contracts the subject of this competition will, if awarded, be awarded pursuant to the procedures and rules set out in this SAQ and the ITT to be notified to pre-qualified candidates. Should sufficient number of response be received it is the University’s intention to invite a maximum of eight suitable works contractors who will be invited to participate on the framework. Depending on the value of the works the University will request participant to tender or quote for electrical works projects. The Contracting Authority may terminate this competition (or any part thereof); change the basis of and the procedures for the bidding process, at any time, or procure the contract by alternative means if it appears that it can thereby be more advantageously procured. The most economically advantageous or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Trinity does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. It is currently the intention of Trinity that the competition for establishing the framework agreement the subject of this PIN shall be completed during Q2 2018.
