Tender description

The Authority provides policing services to prevent crime, detect offenders and protect the most vulnerable in our society, operating in all communities throughout Northern Ireland and also maintains close links with both An Garda Siochana and wider UK policing. The Authority is responsible for policing a population of approximately 1 700 000 citizens over an area of 5 400 square miles. It has about 6 800 operational officers and 2 275 police staff and is structured into 11 operational districts. The Authority is seeking to procure a new command and control solution for use in each of its 3 Contact Management Centres. The Authority currently operates 3 regional Contact Management Centres (CMC's), Belfast (BCMC), North (NCMC) and South (SCMC). Each CMC receives emergency and non-emergency calls (see bullet points below for high level figures from 2016) and dispatch police resources on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis.
