Tender description

Nottinghamshire County Council (The Council) have been appointed the Managing Agent for the Careers Local Enterprise Grant (a D2N2 http://www.d2n2lep.org/ programme jointly funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA)). The Council wish to develop a framework of suitably qualified employability and enterprise Providers from which eligible Educational Institutions, (schools, specialist schools, academies, alternative learning centres, virtual schools and colleges), most will have 10 000 GBP to spend on Employability and Enterprise Activities to young people aged 15 - 19 who are at risk of being NEET in the D2N2 area. The Providers will be expected to have a track record of success with the client group, take a creative approach to engaging disaffected young people and provide a range of activities which young people can actively participate in. A1. Personal development course and activities, A2. Using local labour market intelligence, A3. Job search CV and interview techniques, A5. Personalised support and careers advice. A4. Careers fairs and events, A9. Participating in industry sponsored competitions, A6. Enterprise activities. A7. Experience of the workplace, A8. Conversations with employers and working people, A10. Volunteering and other work experience. A11. Staff development for Educational Institutions which will enable the institutions to enhance their ability to provide Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance.
