Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England Central Midlands and Bedfordshire CCG (under joint commissioning arrangements) invites suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for delivery of Primary Medical Services at Cauldwell Medical Centre, Bedford Hospital, Kempston Road, Bedford. Services are currently delivered from both Cauldwell Medical Centre and Victoria Road Medical Practice, also in Bedford. The lists are to be combined into one contract, to be delivered from the Cauldwell Medical Centre location. The Services are to be provided to both registered patients and unregistered patients, who will be streamed to the Practice from Bedford Hospital Emergency Department. The contract will commence on 1.7.2017 and will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend up to a further 2 years (5 years maximum). Provision of General Practitioner Services under a NHS Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contracts. List size will be approximately 7 800 actual, 6 600 weighted. The Contract value will be circa 508 000 GBP p.a. This figure excludes Enhanced Services and QOF payments. The Provider must also make available at least 20 Urgent Care appointments per day for unregistered patients and these will be paid at 33 GBP per attendance. In addition, an APMS premium will be paid, of 20 % of the Global Sum in year 1, tapering to 15 % of Global Sum in year 2 and 10 % of Global Sum in years 3-5.
