Surface dressing

Tender description

Leicestershire County Council seeks (via ESPO) a collaborative relationship with a supplier, to assist with the undertaking of surface dressing works during the spring/summer season, by offering a reliable source of binder (supply and delivery), the hire of tanks in which to store it, the hire of tankers (vehicles) with which to lay it and the provision of advice and expertise as required. The initial contract is for a single surface dressing season (April 2017 to October 2017) with the option to extend for up to 3 further seasons. Anticipated requirements for the first season are: a) 1 100 000 lt of intermediate grade binder. b) 800 000 lt of premium grade binder. c) 2 x on-site storage tanks — 45 000 lt minimum capacity. d) 2 x spray tankers — carriage capacity 10 000 lt to 18 000 lt. The requirement is not being divided into separate Lots.
