Supply & Spreading of Bitumen Binder to Various Public Roads throughout Trim and Ratoath Municipal Districts in 2016

Tender description

The scope of works include for the supply and spraying of approx. 350Ton of bitumen binder (minimum quantity of 80% polymer modified bitumen shall be 90% with the remaining 10% to be cationic bitumen) and for the mechanically spreading of approx. 4,200Ton of chippings. The chippings shall be supplied by Meath County Council and shall range in size from 6mm to 14mm with the dry application of 6mm chips in racking process to selected areas. The road chips are to be rolled with rubber wheeled rollers. During this process approx. 29km of public roads of various lengths and widths and at various locations shall be surfaced dressed. All of the above process will be to Meath County Councils instructions, including all associated testing of the bitumen binder. The above tonnage of bitumen binder are estimates and Meath County Council does not guarantee that they will be achieved; no additional charges will be entertained should actual bitumen binder literage provided be below or above those indicated above.
