The refurbishment and extension of Corsham Mansion House is an exciting opportunity to bring a vacant listed building back into use to support the growth of businesses and create a centre for digital excellence. Wiltshire Council is looking to engage with organisations interested in operating and managing the building as a flexible workspace and incubation hub for the Creative Digital sector in Corsham and the surrounding areas. The redeveloped Mansion House is designed to provide space for start-up businesses and SMEs with a digital outlook, and teaching space to provide Higher Education courses relating to the digital industry. It will also provide collaboration space where industry, academia, institutions, and the public sector can come together to share ideas about digital society. The redevelopment is the result of a successful 2 500 000 GBP grant from the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership, and the facility is to comply with meeting the vision and the aims as set out in the agreed funding bid. We would like to understand and discuss the proposals and capability of potential operators, how previous experience can help inform the Councils requirements, barriers to expressing interest, potential commercial models, what information would be required prior to bidding and views on how risk should be managed and apportioned fairly. A market engagement day is planned for Friday 10.3.2017 in Corsham.
