Tender description

Cornwall Housing is seeking to let a Framework for the provision of Temporary Emergency Accommodation Service for individuals where the council has determined a statutory duty to accommodate. The accommodation can last for periods of 1 day to several months. Lot 1 accommodations will be used for placing homeless households, most of whom will contain children, but there will also be couples, single people, people with complex needs without dependent children and provision for 16-17 year olds. Lot 2 — Given that some homeless households have particular needs, some of which are complex, it is our preference to restrict, where possible, the placements of 16/17s to 1 establishment in order to manage the risks to this vulnerable group. There is the possibility to extend this provision should demand dictate. Lot 3 — It is our preference to accommodate single person households and couples in discrete establishments to minimise the risk to each household type and reduce the occurrence of mixing lots. Some households are vulnerable due to specific needs, which may be complex in some cases.
