DUD - The Purchase, Instalation and Operation (MOP,DC/DA) of Non Half Hourly Electricity Meters - 2017

Tender description

The Council is seeking to replace approximately 784 'dumb' electricity meters with Advanced Meters (AMRs). The meters are to be used for settlement purposes and must therefore conform to all relevant UK/ EU legislation as well as any relevant Code of Practice (CoP). Meters should be listed under Schedule 4 of the Meters (Certification) Regulations (SI 1998/1566) or approved under the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID 2004/22/EC). The Contractor will be responsible for installing the replacement meters as well as the on-going operation and data provision (MOP/DC/DA services). For the avoidance of doubt, the Council intends to purchase the meters outright rather than enter into any kind of lease agreement. To ensure no conflict with the supplier's requirement to install smart meters, all meters are to be installed prior to the advanced meter exception deadline on 17 August 2017.
