Tender description

Tenders are invited for the provision of passenger transport services by taxi, minibus and/or coach in relation to Home to School and Special Educational Needs (SEN) transport in the Barrow area (to include Cartmel, Coniston, Dalton in Furness, and Ulverston) and Carlisle area (to include Alston, Brampton and Dalston) and some routes that may have a destination out of the County. You must refer to the “Invitation to tender” document prior to submitting your bid. All submissions must be uploaded and returned via the Chest. Please ensure you have uploaded all the required documents as failure to do so will result in your tender submission not being considered. Tenders are invited for passenger transport services for Home to School & SEN in the Barrow & Carlisle Areas. The contract is for a maximum of 48 months (3 years plus a 1-year possible extension).The Council expressly reserves the right: — not to award any contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice, — to make whatever changes it may see fit to the content and structure of the tendering competition, — in no circumstances will the council be liable for any costs incurred during the procurement process If the council decides to enter into a contract with the successful suppliers, this does not mean that there is any guarantee of subsequent contracts being awarded. Any expenditure, work or effort was undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgment of potential suppliers.
