Tender description

Tate are seeking to appoint experienced transport companies in the art transportation field who can assist with the packing and movement of artworks. Companies will be expected to provide high security, environmentally controlled storage and warehousing facilities. Tate intends to establish a framework agreement in 2 lots to serve it's requirements: 1) Exhibition transport throughout the UK, EU and worldwide; 2) The packing and transportation of works of art between Tate sites within the UK only. Tate expects to have a maximum of 5 suppliers in each of its 2 lots. Exhibition transport, coordination of the complete logistics package associated with exhibitions; from collection from lenders, to return at the end of the exhibition (UK and worldwide). Inter-site transport of works of art belonging to the Tate Collection between Tate's domestic sites (UK only). Sites include (but not limited to) London; St. Ives; Liverpool, Wiltshire and the National Galleries, Scotland. This is commonly referred to as the Tate Shuttle.
