Tender description

This PIN is to inform economic operators that BSO Procurement and Logistics Service, PaLS, on behalf of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust intends to issue a tender for the distribution of pharmaceutical specials manufactured by Victoria Pharmaceuticals. Victoria Pharmaceuticals manufactures 4 types of special Sterile/Non-Sterile/Over labelled medicines/Repackaged medicines. Currently Victoria Pharmaceuticals manufactures approximately 100 specials, of which 2 are refrigerated. The exact details of the contractual arrangement and whether this requirement is to be split into lots is yet to be decided. For guidance purposes only it is envisaged that the scope may include: Distribution of specials manufactured by Victoria Pharmaceuticals to: 1. The 5 HSC Trusts in Northern Ireland. 2. GP Out of hours units. 3. Private Organisations in Northern Ireland. 4. Republic of Ireland. 5. Mainland United Kingdom. The supplier will be required to collect stock from Victoria Pharmaceuticals, hold the stock and deliver it to the required locations whilst maintaining the required cold chain conditions for applicable items and in line with the requirements of the MHRA's wholesale dealer's authorisation. The supplier will also be required to retain records relating to products held and produce reports for issue to Victoria Pharmaceuticals including but not limited to evidence of real time cold chain monitoring, temperature excursion reports, weekly reports of deliveries of customers, stock reports, alerts relating to sudden increases in demand for products, and complaints reports.
