Towers, lattice masts, derricks and pylons

Tender description

The purpose of this contract is to construct a Digital Air Traffic Control Tower comprising a steel lattice tower to support a 16-camera module (supplied separately) 50 m above ground level, and, a 2-storey reinforced concrete base to include data rooms and extensive support systems for power, HVAC and air compression. DATCT will be sited ‘landside’ on the Southern dockside adjacent to King George V dock, London City Airport, London. The physical scope of this work includes: 1. Construction of Reinforced Concrete tower base, 2 Storey building. 2. Construction of Steel Lattice tower to designs approved by LCY adhering to strict performance parameters relating to sway. 3. Configuration of buildings to include M&E. 4. Construction of 2 No Substations including trenching and cabling to and from Tower. 5. It is envisaged that a modular approach will be used potentially availing of adjacent dock access. 6. Scope will include development of LCY outline designs.
