Tender description

London Gateway has a container port and logistics park facility. There are currently approximately 1000 employees on site and this number is expected to grow beyond 2000 when new companies locate the park. As part of a commitment to sustainable transport, a bus service is required to provide a link between Basildon, Stanford le Hope station, and the park. Upon commencement it will operate daily from 04:49 to 19:10, including bank holidays. Vehicle capacity must be a minimum of 29 seats and DDA compliant. The service will operate various routes within the timetable to service passenger movements between the London Gateway Park, Stanford Town Centre, Rail Station and Corringham which all fall within the Borough of Thurrock located in the County of Essex. As further units come on-stream, or as existing demands change, it may be necessary to revise the route and timetable during the course of the contract. The provision of a passenger bus service to the London Gateway Container Port and Logistics Park within the Thurrock Council geographical area.
