Provision of Internal Audit & Procurement Advisory Services for Longford County Council

Tender description

The objective of this invitation to tender is to secure the provision of an Internal Audit & Procurement Advisory Service to Longford County Council as an organisation for a two year period. This Advisory Service will: - conduct a programme of continuous review to monitor the effectiveness of the system of risk management, security of assets and internal controls that provides reasonable assurances of security, operational efficiency, reliable financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - develop and encourage 'best practice in Procurement Compliance & Operations. - carry out a staff education and developmental role with the *Control & Compliance Unit Staff. The varied nature of the Local Authority activities emphasises the need to ensure that the necessary controls and priorities are in place for all services delivered.
