Tender description

The De-identification Project will implement a strategic approach to de-identifying data flowing into or out of NHS Digital, or be requiring linkage with NHS Digital data. It will provide the capability to re-identify data where authorized. The solution will be implemented centrally and regionally. The high-level drivers for the De-Identification project are: — reduce the risk of unauthorized access to identifiable data, — minimise the risks of re-identification, — protect patient privacy and comply with legislation, through the consistent application of a standardized de-identification and re-identification capability, — enable the linkage of data, without the need to flow identifiers, — provide de-identified data with a high analytic utility.
