Summary of the work Direct report to the programme director to support the planning, appraisal and execution of cyber programme, in particular the upcoming Cyber procurement pipeline. Responsible for project management and meeting key programme milestones by ensuring that the commercial activity underpinning the programme delivers on time and to budget Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length First statement of work for 6 months. Maximum contract duration 2 years Latest start date Friday 5 January 2018 Maximum Day Rate £500-600 Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with a full team made up of a Programme director, Programme manager, various work stream leads and commercial leads. What Specialists Work On Responsible for supporting the programme director with programme and project management Manage deliveries from multiple suppliers and assist with = delivery and service management Review programme deliverables and assist in timely programme approvals Set-up delivery check-points including entry and exit criteria Review/improve ways of working (planning, quality and risk/issue tracking, dependency management), prioritising and creation of a coherent programme backlog), to optimise programme performance, quality and output Provide support in documenting requirements for future procurements Improve reporting cross programme, ensuring accurate, concise and compliant reports are submitted as required Skills & Experience • Minimum 5 years experience managing technology transformation projects • Experience in supplier management to effectively manage required outcomes • Strong expertise and experience of writing papers for approval from various boards undertaking options identification, analysis, evaluation and recommendation to enable informed strategic and delivery decisions • Experience in leading a collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of multidisciplinary teams/external suppliers • Proven expertise and experience of articulating requirements • Strong stakeholder relationship/management skills, demonstrating significant success in facilitating collaboration, influencing, communicating and negotiating at all levels Operational and Supplier, with the ability to resolve potential conflicts early Nice to Haves • Proven experience of working in a cyber security programme • Significant understanding, expertise and experience of working within Government departments, the general business operations, data, organisational structures, systems and processes • Relevant project management qualifications, such as Prince2/PMP Work Location Main location for the work will be at Croydon, with frequent travel to central London. Some travel might be required to other Home Office locations Working Arrangments The supplier is expected supply a resource working within team made of up of the specialist skills. We expect the supplier to be flexible to our needs and can make working with a mixed team across multiple sites . Off site and remote working can be accommodated by exception, however due to security considerations this would need to be discussed. Day rates to be inclusive of travel and subsistence within M25.Travel to regional sites to be agreed, expenses incurred from travel outside of the M25/Greater London will be subject to Home Office Travel and Subsistence Policy. Based in Croydon with occasional travel to headquarters in central London and various stakeholder teams in the UK.Travel to regional sites to be agreed, expenses incurred from travel outside of the M25/Greater London will be subject to Home Office Travel and Subsistence Policy 7. What technologies will the consultant work on or should have experience with, please give detail Please refer to the ‘Essential and nice-to-have skills/experience’ of this advert . Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Friday 5 January 2018 Candidate should be ready to start from 05 Jan 2018. We acknowledge that candidates who are not SC cleared will not be able to start until they receive this clearance. However they will have to be available from 05 Jan 2018 so that they can start immediately from the date of clearance being received. 11. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted We aim to communicate the short-listing decision within 10 working days of this opportunity closing. 12.
