Tender description

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) has a requirement to reprocure a scalable EPR clinical database system for its sexual health services. The system must have built in suite of capabilities to include web booking, SMS texting, reporting amongst other functionalities not listed as well as interfacing with other clinical systems such as laboratory, kiosk self-attendance /waiting rooms, mobile devices, community CASH and pathology etc. The solution should also include ongoing support and maintenance with wrapped professional service. The system should have the capability to provide flexible and configurable options to change codings, descriptions, and local validation/functional rules without amending underlying software code. UHB has the intention to award contract for an initial period of five years with an option to extend the contract(s) for two further 12 month periods. The estimated total value of this requirement is circa £300,000 to £700,000. This procurement is for the establishment of a contract for reprocurement of Umbrella Sexual Health EPR system. The Trust requires a high quality, adaptable and flexible EPR system to manage UHB NHS FT sexual health service in collaboration with other partnership bodies within the area. The system required should have features such as web booking, SMS texting, reporting and have capability of interfacing with other clinical systems e.g. but not limited to laboratory, kiosk self-attendance /waiting rooms, mobile devices, community CASH and pathology etc. The Trust's intention is to award an initial contract for a period of five years from 01 November 2018 until 31 October 2022. There are options to extend the contract for a further two 12 month periods (5+1+1).
