Items are to be delivered by the 30th of November 2017. The National Oceanography Centre (European Way, Southampton SO14 3ZH) at the Natural Environment Research Council has a requirement to be supplied with 50 Number Complete Full Personal Survival Kits, as per Part 1-B Paragraphy 9.1 of the Polar Code (IMO Resolution MSC.385(94)). Requirements reprinted below form the code:- • Protective clothing (hat, gloves - 1 pair, socks - 1 pair, face and neck protection, etc.). Sets are to be supplied in 4 X small, 15 X medium, 20 extra large and 11 X extra, extra large. • Skin protection cream • Thermal protective aid • Sunglasses • Whistle • Drinking mug • Penknife • Polar survival guidance • Emergency food • Carrying bag The packs are to be supplied in a heavy duty, waterproof bag with a waterproof zipper and the bag has to have two shoulder straps to allow the user to carry the pack securely. The protective clothing should be vacuum packed in one package.
