Cavan County Council seeks suitably qualified and experienced Consultants, to undertake a feasibility study to provide recommendations on enhancing the existing visitor experience at Cavan County Museum, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. The Council propose to engage consultancy services to examine the current product offering at the Museum, including the Museum building and grounds, looking at current exhibitions and services for both domestic and international visitors. The museum currently attracts approximately 25,000 visitors per year. The overall aim is to enhance, develop and further promote the museum to attract in excess of 50,000 visitors within 3 to 5 years. Building linkages with the local community and thus increasing the economic and social benefit to both Ballyjamesduff and County Cavan will be a key consideration. The museum is currently a signature site in Fáilte Ireland’s new proposition for the Eastern half of the country; Ireland’s Ancient East, and new developments at the museum should take account of this.
