The Faculty of Development and Society ("D&S") is home to the Sheffield Institute of Education and one of the biggest teacher education departments in the country. We cover the full range of teaching, from primary, early years and secondary to post-16 education and training, plus continuing professional development for those already in the job. D&S Education placement students are currently managed, monitored and supported via a bespoke University-wide placements system, locally-held documents (Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.). D&S are seeking an alternative solution for education placements which holds all Education Placement information in one place and enables the electronic capture and monitoring of placement information from the various key players (Academics, Administrators, Providers and Students)
