Tender description

Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden and GEM CSU), acting on behalf of Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS England North Midlands, will be seeking a suitably qualified provider to deliver high quality and safe Primary Care Medical Services at Parkfields Surgery, Derby, under an Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract. This Prior Information Notice is to advise the market of a forthcoming procurement opportunity and providers do not need to express an interest at this time. A further Notice will be issued as a call for competition; this is expected to be published mid-December 2017. The contract will commence on 1.10.2018 and be for a maximum period of 10 years (initial term 5 years plus option to extend for a further 5 years). It is expected that approximately 6 months' mobilisation period will be available. Provision of Primary Medical Care Services at Parkfields Surgery, Derby, under an Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract. The Practice has a list size (at January 2017) of approximately 6566 (raw list size 6430). The contract will commence on 1.10.2018 and will be for a minimum term of 5 years. Approval is currently being sought to allow the contract to be extended for a further 5 years (maximum contract term 10 years) subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The agreed contract term will be stated within the ITT documentation. Annual contract value is estimated to be 640 000 GBP based on current prices as stated in the Statement of Financial Entitlements including estimated QOF and directed enhanced services payments. Reimbursement of premises costs are also available as defined under the Premises Directions. The rate paid per patient will initially be at a higher level, reducing over the first 5 years, then will be paid at global sum for years 6 to 10.
