England's Historic Cities Interpretation Project

Tender description

We are looking for an experienced tech partner to help us deliver the interpretation part of the project. The aim will be to align the content, the presentation of that content and the channels on which it is used to the target demographic to enhance the heritage appeal to younger audiences. The tech partner needs to have experience in delivering augmented reality content, ideally in a heritage or tourism setting. The agency will need to work with the destinations to help them formulate their stories to be told. We would welcome ideas and suggestions as part of your proposal. We are looking at creative and innovative solutions that surpass the brief. They will be required to visit each city and the tender should include the cost of this. We would welcome applications from individual companies as well as consortia and partnerships. The specifics of the project are as follows; • Sourcing and curating new moments in time stories (48 stories). This will be in partnership with the destinations and will be reviewed by an editorial board which will include representations from the partners and will be set up for the purposes of this project. • Animating stories via augmented reality/ virtual reality technology (80 assets) • Develop a new and engaging way of bringing these stories together, for example via a game, trail, treasure hunt • Animating stories/destinations via video – these films should connect with sample itineraries being developed as part of Strand 1 and therefore would include multiple destinations. Expected 5/6 films. The films are promoting the destination clusters not the app. • Integrating new content into our existing app in a way that enhances and develops it • Integration of itineraries and routes to book into the existing app. • Integrating new content into the itinerary planning tool being developed by London & Partners – this will sit as a hub for EHC on the www.visitlondon.com website Keywords: APP DEVELOPMENT
