Tender description

The main objective of the proposed project is to undertake a programme of de-vegetation and subsequent consolidation to the wall remains. The aim is to deliver a planned phase of works in (FY) 2018/19 which includes: addressing the removal of vegetation and consolidation of priority areas; mainly the interior elevation of the Outer Bailey roman walls and external elevations of the medieval Inner Bailey curtain walls. The works are thought to consist of, but not limited to, removal of vegetation, re-building the flint corework, re-bedding both the flint corework and wall head masonry, repointing, with potential for pinning/structurally securing sections.
