Carlisle, Barrow, Out of County Transport Supplier Engagement Events

Tender description

A number of supplier engagement events are being held across the county to inform current and potential providers of passenger transport services (predominately Home to School and Special Educational Needs) about the forthcoming tenders for the Barrow in Furness areas (including Barrow in Furness, Cartmel, Coniston, Dalton in Furness, Ulverston), the Carlisle areas (including Alston, Brampton, Carlisle, Dalston) and Out of County routes. These sessions will include: • The commissioning and procurement of passenger transport services in the Barrow areas, the Carlisle areas and Out of County and the opportunity to explore our proposal as to how these will be commissioned. • The forthcoming transport tendering opportunities across the county, including: o How to submit a compliant tender o How the tenders will be assessed (including how to complete the tender bid sheet) o How to get ready for the start of the contract There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
