Summary of the work NHS Improvement is going through a phase of rapid development of analytical dashboards, tools and data service platforms. This has resulted in an immediate requirement for a senior Agile Business Analyst to support our technology and data portfolio. Interviews are anticipated to be 23 November, in London. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 6 months initially with the option for NHS Improvement to extend. Latest start date Monday 4 December 2017 Maximum Day Rate Up to £540 inclusive of expenses, any agency fees & exclusive of VAT. Please note NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. Who Speclialist Work With You'll be working for the Technology & Data Teams within NHS Improvement. A matrix management structure is in place and you will report to various Product Managers. What Specialists Work On • Senior Business Analyst with significant experience of running requirements gathering and backlog grooming in complex agile projects and programmes of work. • Delivering Agile Business Analysis services to key programmes and projects, delivering a variety of systems and applications, including: financial monitoring; cost transformation; digital services; data collection; business intelligence and; analytics. • Mentoring in-house BAs and Product Managers in Agile Business Analysis. Skills & Experience • have significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst in an Agile setting, using Behaviour Driven Development to deliver fit for purpose solutions in complex commercial environments. (30 points) • have significant experience of stakeholder relationship management and an ability to influence challenging stakeholders in an environment of competing priorities. (10 points) • have at least five years experience of steering product development teams to develop roadmaps, objectives and milestones. (10 points) • have at least five years experience of leading and mentoring other Business Analysts to drive best practice and effective knowledge transfer. (10 points) • have at least five years experience of requirements gathering to deliver iterative changes that meet business needs. (10 points) • have at least five years experience of managing backlog grooming processes in complex agile projects and programmes of work. (10 points) • have experience of delivering Agile Business Analysis to a variety of systems and applications including: financial monitoring; cost transformation; digital services; data collection; business intelligence and; analytics. (10 points) Nice to Haves • evidence of an agile business analysis qualification, quality assurance experience, data analytics experience and/or software development experience. • evidence a degree level (or equivalent) qualification in an analytical and/or technical discipline. • demonstrate work experience of the NHS or other healthcare systems (including overseas). • demonstrate an understanding of public procurement. Work Location NHS Improvement, 133-135 Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8UG Working Arrangments We expect you to be present in the office, as face-to-face engagement is considered to be most effective. This role may involve travel to one or more regional offices including but not limited to; Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Derby and Birmingham. When travelling outside of London, travel expenses will be paid, in line with our internal policy. Working from home may be possible on occasion, but only by exception. Security Clearance Security clearance is not required.
