WCCC 16/296 Tallow Link road. Construction of 388m of roadway with associated footpaths, cycleways and public lighting.

Tender description

The project involves the construction of a new roadway on a Greenfield site linking chapel Street in tallow to the R634 Regional Road to Youghal. The link road is partially constructed but a further 388 meters of road including a junction with the R634 Regional Road remains to be constructed. The construction of road will provide a bypass route from the town centre to the R634 Regional road and will facilitate local industry, new developments (both commercial and residential) and will also provide a new access to the Tallow National School. All major services are present on site in the partially completed section of road. Therefore all these services will need to be extended along the new section of roadway. The roadway will also provide improved accessibility and safety for all users along the route with the inclusion of footpaths, cycleways and public lighting. The construction of the road will also include the provision of associated road markings, signage, fencing, walls and landowner accesses.
