Tender description

Within The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) only HM Prison Service has a requirement for the supply of Farm Animal (Livestock) Feed. The successful supplier will be required to provide feed for the below prison farms: HMP Kirkham hold approximately 48 beef cattle, 74 pigs, 250 sheep. HMP Wymott hold approximately 18 beef cattle, 7 pigs and 137 sheep. HMP North Sea Camp currently have 25 breeding pigs plus finishers (pigs being fattened for slaughter) giving a total of around 250, 400 breeding sheep plus lambs a total of around 1 000. HMP Hewells current livestock headcount stands at 116 Jersey Milking Cows, 100 followers (weaned cattle), 13 beef cattle, and 50 pigs for pork/bacon production. The diffrerent types of feed required includes: Dairy Herd Concentrate Feed (Bulk), Heifer Rearing Concentrate (Bulk), Sopralin (25 kg Bags), Calf Starter Pellets (25 kg Bags), Prime Beef Premium Nuts, Prime Beef Supreme + Biosprint Nuts, Dry Cow Rolls (Bags), Hi Magnesium Cattle Buckets, Maxcare Cattle Bucket, Calf Milk Powder (25 kg Bags), Sow Concentrate Pellets (Bulk and Bags), Pig Finisher Pellets (Bulk), Pig Grower Pellets (Bulk), Poultry Layers Pellets (Bulk and Bags), Ewe Nuts (25 kg Bags), Lamb Creep (25 kg Bags), Mixed Grain, Oyster Shell Grit, Medicated Lines. HMP Prescoed/Usk currently have around 190 cattle. The details of the requirement for feed supplies include: Maxi Milk HE 18, Cow Feed, Quickstart HP Calf Pellets, Pre-lac Rolls, Provimilk/Daisy, Urea Prills (25 kg Bags), Poultry Layers Mash, Poultry Layers Pellets, Mixed Corn, Oyster Shell Grit, Medicated Lines. HMP East Sutton Park are noted as having 172 pigs (Boars, Gilts and Weaners), 108 sheep (Ewes, Rams and Lambs) and 16 horses. The requirement for feed supplies includes: Sow Breeder Rolls, Pig Grower Pellets, Sow and Weaner Nuts, Super Ewe and Lamb Nuts, Store Lamb Finisher, Medicated Lines.
