Patents Transformation Project (PTP) - PIN & Request for Information

The IPO is currently in the process of looking to digitally transform its Patent business services. To better inform us on how we may best go about this, we are looking to undertake an early market engagement exercise whereby we may firstly give suppliers an overview of what we will potentially be procuring and secondly, to request further information from suppliers that illustrates the solutions and capabilities they have that will meet some or all of our requirements. It is our expectation that the above exercise will not only allow suppliers to be better placed to respond to our requirements in the event that we undertake a procurement exercise, but will also allow the IPO to better understand what solutions and supplier capabilities exist within the market place. Furthermore, this will then allow us to better define our requirements and subsequently choose the most appropriate route to market. Suppliers should note that whilst we are happy to address any queries suppliers may have in responding to this Request For Information, it is not our intention to engage in detailed or in depth discussions at this point. To respond to this advert we request that suppliers submit their expression of interest which will allow them automatic access to the RFI information. We would then be grateful if suppliers could download the RFI, complete the document as requested and submit their responses via this portal also. As per the above this notice is for the purposes of issuing a prior information notice only and requesting information from suppliers via an RFI. It should NOT be considered as a call for tenders or formal proposals that will potentially lead to the award of contracts.
