A proposal to develop and implement a whole business approach to measuring social value Homes in Sedgemoor is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) in Somerset managing 4,200 homes on behalf of Sedgemoor District Council. We are seeking to make social value central to our everyday business. We are seeking support to: • Develop a framework to understand and measure the social value created across the business • Link organisational aims and objectives, themes of work, and delivered activity. • Provide instant neighbourhood and community profiles drawing on up-to-date open data sources covering all major social and economic indicators. • Identify outcomes and map them to develop a framework that will inform Homes in Sedgemoor approach to operationalise and embed robust social impact measurement. • Develop a bespoke ‘Social Value Calculating tool’ to be used by Homes in Sedgemoor staff to enter collected data straight into the calculator, negating the need for any internal data management processes or manual analysis of data. The tool will measure outcome incidence, apply the relevant values, perform analysis, and produce social value results. • Provide opportunities to explore the inclusion of savings to the state within the calculator dependent on available relevant data. • Provide reports as text or visualisation reports at strategic level or on local neighbourhood basis.
