Tender description

The V&A wishes to procure a professional supplier to provide housekeeping, waste, portering and ancillary services across three strategic sites within its estate. These sites include space dedicated to: public spaces, galleries, lecture theatres, meeting rooms, retail outlets, catering outlets, stores, workshops, studios, offices, courtyards and gardens offering a combined gross area of approximately 100 000 m2, and include both grade 1 and grade 2 listed buildings which are of exceptional interest and international importance. The V&A requires a robust, flexible and economic solution to the delivery of the services. The initial contract term is 5 years, with the scope to extend up to a total of a further 2 years. Please note the advertised value is for the extended 84 month period and includes scope to extend to additional sites as and when they are added to the V&A estate; we estimate the 5 year value at current service levels to be 6 600 000 GBP. The V&A is seeking to procure an integrated housekeeping, waste and portering service that meets the needs of the Museum estate and is provided by a supplier who can work in partnership with them to meet the high quality but changing requirements of the Museum in a professional and flexible manner. The V&A reserves the right to include and exclude services, but the expected range of services may include the following: Routine cleaning, Periodic cleaning, Reactive cleaning, Waste, Portering, and Ancillary services including: pest control, hawking, snow and ice clearing, wash-room services and other related services.
